I’ve Been Notified of Acceptance into the
19th Annual National Exhibition
Good news of course. Always nice to find a little acceptance anywhere, anyway, you can. (Ha!)
I submitted two works to the exhibition jury, with both paintings making it past the first cut – with another round of judging used to determine which one would make it into the show. Glad it wasn’t my decision to make because would have been a hard to decide. I like both equally well and artists may exhibit only one work in the show.
The 2010 OPA National Exhibition will be held at the Lanning Gallery in Sedona, Arizona. A well-known gallery and prestigious venue. Nice people. Nice art. Nice clientele.
There will be a preview which opens on April 24th. The show will close on May 31st. But by then I’ll be well into my second paint-out of the summer somewhere up in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos, California. Gotta keep chasing the next frameable chunk of beauty. Can’t stop to look back.
My question to you here is, which painting would you have chosen? And why?
Congratulations are also in order for David Riedel, Mitch Baird, Margaret Short, Michael Orwick, and Alan M. Bell for having their work accepted in this year’s OPA National as well. All artists who live and work in the Portland area too!
